First step is to remove existing fabric of the chair. Take a screwdriver and remove staples out, releasing tissue on the bottom of the chair. Now slowly remove the fabric by pulling it up. Slip along the sides, then the arms and wings and back of the chair.

Now fix the old to the new fabric pieces with the right sides together. Once all the pieces are pinned to the new tissue to cut, tracing over the pieces with scissors. Be sure to cut exactly the same size as the stuck-on bits.

Next sew the front wing to the front of the chair back with right sides together. Do the same with the chair backs and wings. Now sew the front and back sides of the chair and the wings together, creating wing back chair slip cover for the back of the chair. Slip into the chair, first on one wing, then the back and the other wing. Straighten the corners and seams. Then turn the chair and pulling the fabric taut around the back, staple down the back under the chair.

Sides now with right sides together, sew the inside and outside of each arm of the chair next to then slide into place on each of the arms of the chair. Again straighten the corners and seams, turn the chair over and staple the fabric to the sides below the chair.

Place a piece of cloth to the front of the seat bottom by stapling both within headquarters and below the front of the chair. Now, with the right sides together, sew the front and back of the seat cushion together, leaving the back open. Turn the fabric right out and insert your cushion. If your mattress is sagging from years of wear, you can choose to wrap the pillow with batting first to help firm the seat. Now insert the cushion on the seat wing back chair slip cover and hand sewn closure on the back. Place the cushion on the chair, and just recovered from his favorite chair ears!
